need legal advice I was hired on at a Chevrolet dealer in Carrollton, Ky in March 2010. Previously a door to door cable tv salesman,I have never sold a car in my life. When I got there, a salesman quit, and then the Sales Manager quit, and then another salesman quit or was fired. We were short staffed the whole time I was there. While the Sales Manager was there he hired an experienced car salesman. He told the salesman to train me and in return I would split all of my sales with him. After the Sales Manager quit, the Owner did not like the idea of splitting the deals, so he stopped it. The salesman that was training me stopped training me because he could not get half of the sales.
During this time a fill-in Sales Manager told me, which was on Wednesday, I'd get the proper training once they hire a full-time Sales Manager. The next day, Thursday, I was off. Well, Friday, the Owner called us all to a meeting and introduced the new Sales Manager, Steve. He would be starting on Monday. I was relieved. At the end of the day, the fill-in Sales Manager pulled me in the office and fired me because I was not a good car salesman! Is this right?
Can anyone help me?
